49 Searching restricted premises without warrant
It is lawful for a police officer to exercise the following powers in relation to restricted premises without a search warrant—
power to enter the restricted premises and to stay on the restricted premises for the time reasonably necessary to exercise the powers mentioned in paragraphs (b) to (f);
power to search the restricted premises for—
a prohibited item; or
anything that may be evidence of the commission of an offence;
power to seize from the restricted premises—
a prohibited item; or
anything that may be evidence of the commission of an offence;
power to open anything that is locked;
power to search any person found at the premises for anything mentioned in paragraph (c) that can be concealed on the person;
power to photograph any thing that may be evidence of disorderly activities taking place at the restricted premises.
To remove any doubt, it is declared that a power mentioned in subsection (1) may be exercised from time to time as occasion requires.
