Racing Act 2002

The Minister may return a draft strategic or operational plan to the control body and ask it—

to consider, or further consider, a stated thing and deal with the thing in the draft plan; and

to revise the draft plan in the light of the control body’s consideration or further consideration.

The control body must comply with the request as a matter of urgency.

If the Minister has not agreed to the draft plan by 1 month before the start of the financial year, the Minister may, by notice, direct the control body—

to take stated steps in relation to the draft plan; or

to make stated modifications of the draft plan.

The control body must immediately comply with the direction and include a copy of the direction in the plan.
