252AL Offences for witness
A person given a notice under section 252AK(1) must not fail, without a reasonable excuse, to comply with the notice.Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
A person appearing as a witness at a hearing of a panel review application must not—
fail to take an oath or affirmation when required by the panel; or
fail, without a reasonable excuse, to answer a question the person is required to answer by the panel.
Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
It is a reasonable excuse for an individual to refuse to answer a question, or produce a document or other thing, if the answer, or the production of the document or thing, might tend to incriminate the individual or expose the individual to a penalty.
