16 Types of accreditation
This Act provides for 3 types of accreditation—
an operator accreditation;
a driver accreditation;
an assistant accreditation.
An operator accreditation authorises the holder of the accreditation to conduct a tow truck business.
A driver accreditation authorises the holder of the accreditation to operate, or assist with the operation of, a tow truck to carry out regulated towing.
An assistant accreditation—
authorises the holder of the accreditation to operate, or assist with the operation of, a tow truck to carry out regulated towing; but
does not authorise the holder of the accreditation to drive a tow truck for the purpose of carrying out regulated towing.
