25 Deciding renewal applications
The chief executive must consider the renewal application and decide to—
approve the application; or
refuse the application.
In deciding the renewal application, the chief executive—
must consider the matters prescribed by regulation; and
may, subject to section 15, consider any other matter the chief executive considers relevant.
Without limiting subsection (1)(b), the chief executive may refuse the renewal application—
if satisfied—
the applicant is not an appropriate person to continue to hold the accreditation; orNote—
For a renewal application made by a partnership, see also section 136.
it would not be in the public interest for the applicant to continue to hold the accreditation; or
on another ground prescribed by regulation.
To remove any doubt, it is declared that the chief executive may decide the renewal application after the expiry day for the accreditation.
