Establishment
16 Establishment
A board is established as the governing body of TIQ.
The board consists of at least 4, but not more than 7, members appointed by the Governor in Council.
The board must include the chief executive, or a senior executive nominated by the chief executive, of both of the following departments—
the department responsible for administering this Act;
the department responsible for administering the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971.
In deciding whether to appoint a person as a member, the Governor in Council must have regard to the person’s ability to contribute to the performance of TIQ’s functions.
The members, other than the members mentioned in subsection (3) (each a departmental representative), are appointed under this Act and not the Public Sector Act 2022.
