Transport Infrastructure (Dangerous Goods By Rail) Regulation 2018

If dangerous goods and other goods that are incompatible with the dangerous goods are transported in separate closed freight containers, bulk containers or tanks on a rail wagon, or on separate load platforms or in separate wells of an articulated rail wagon, the dangerous goods and the other goods are taken to be segregated in accordance with part 9 of the ADG Code.

However, the dangerous goods and other goods are taken not to be segregated in accordance with part 9 of the ADG Code if, under that part or a determination, the dangerous goods are too dangerous to be transported on the same rail wagon as other goods.
