148 Duties of drivers of vehicles

(1)

This section applies if a vehicle transporting dangerous goods is involved in an incident resulting in a dangerous situation.

(2)

The driver of the vehicle must—

(a)

notify the prime contractor, the chief executive, and either the Queensland Police Service or the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service, of the incident as soon as practicable, but not more than 24 hours, after the incident; and

(b)

provide any reasonable assistance required by an authorised officer, or a relevant emergency service officer, to deal with the situation.

Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
