226 Existing complaints—victim services coordinator
This section applies if—
before the commencement, a complaint was made or referred to the victim services coordinator under former section 19(2)(d) or 20(3)(a); and
immediately before the commencement, the complaint was not resolved.
On the commencement, the complaint—
is taken to be a complaint made or referred to the commissioner under the Victims’ Commissioner and Sexual Violence Review Board Act 2024, section 45(2)(d) or 46(3)(a); and
may be dealt with and resolved under chapter 3, part 3 of that Act.
The victim services coordinator must give the victims’ commissioner under the Victims’ Commissioner and Sexual Violence Review Board Act 2024 the complaint and any information relating to the complaint as soon as practicable after the commencement.
