73DB Additional payments to local governments
The local government may request payment of an additional amount for the financial year to further mitigate the direct effects of the waste levy on households in the local government’s local government area.
The request must—
be made in writing to the chief executive; and
include the information prescribed by regulation.
The chief executive must consider the request and must decide to—
pay to the local government an additional amount the chief executive considers appropriate; or
refuse the request.
