42 Failure to give information

(1)

A person of whom a requirement is made under section 40(3)(g) must comply with the requirement, unless the person has a reasonable excuse.Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.

Note—

Also, under section 66, it is an offence for a person to state anything to an authorised person the person knows to be false or misleading in a material particular.

(2)

It is a reasonable excuse for an individual to fail to comply with the requirement that complying with the requirement might tend to incriminate the individual.
