67 Volumetric limits

The volumetric limit for a new water allocation is—

(a)

for a water licence that states the volume of water that may be taken in a period of 12 months—the stated volume; and

(b)

for another water licence—the volume decided by the chief executive having regard to the following—

(i)

the conditions under which water may be taken under the water licence;

(ii)

the water taking capacity of any works for taking water under the water licence;

(iii)

the volume required for the allocation’s intended purpose;

(iv)

the annual volumes of water estimated by the chief executive to have been taken under the water licence during the period, of not more than 10 years, immediately before the commencement of this plan;

(v)

the efficiency of the use of the water mentioned in subparagraph (iv).
