246A Membership and procedures of advisory committees
The chief executive—
may appoint members to an advisory committee; and
must give each committee member written notice of the member’s appointment.
If the chief executive decides a committee member is no longer eligible or suitable for membership of an advisory committee, the chief executive must revoke the committee member’s appointment by written notice given to the committee member.
A regulation may provide for the following for an advisory committee—
the scope of the committee’s functions;
the membership of the committee;
eligibility for membership;
procedures for nomination of committee members;
the term of membership;
vacation of office of committee members;
other matters that facilitate the effective operation of the committee.
