Working with Children Check Act 2000

This section applies if, immediately before the commencement—

a person was employed in employment, or was continuing in employment, mentioned in new schedule 1, section 11A; and

the employee does not hold a current working with children authority.

Sections 175, 176A, 176C and 176E do not apply in relation to the employment until—

6 months after the commencement; or

if the person makes a working with children check application within the period mentioned in paragraph (a)—the application is decided or withdrawn.
