27 Power to give directions in relation to gaming operations
In addition to the powers conferred by this Division, an inspector may, if the inspector suspects on reasonable grounds that—
a gaming machine, game or equipment or a system operated in connection with a gaming machine, game, or equipment, is defective or is not operating correctly; or
the monitoring system required under the
Gaming Machines
Act 1992 is defective or is not operating correctly, the inspector may give such directions to a gambling provider or any employee of the gambling provider as the inspector thinks fit for the purpose of ensuring compliance with a gambling Act or the proper conduct of operations under a gambling Act.
If a person refuses or fails to comply with a direction given under subsection (1), the inspector may do such things as are reasonably necessary to ensure compliance with the direction, including, if the inspector believes it to be the only effective way of ensuring compliance, the seizure of any gaming machine, game or equipment.
