43 Service of notices
A notice required or authorised by this Act to be given to a person may be given as follows:
by personal service on the person or an agent of the person;
by leaving it for the person at his or her place of residence or business with someone apparently over the age of 16 years;
by serving it by post on the person or an agent of the person;
by facsimile transmission or electronic mail to the person's facsimile number or electronic mail address (in which case the document will be taken to have been given or served at the time of transmission);
if the whereabouts of the person is unknown—by affixing it in a prominent position on the land to which it relates or publishing a copy of it on a website determined by the Minister or by such other means prescribed by the regulations.
