17 Return of prisoners to custody
Where an order is made under section 14(1) or
16(2)—
(a)
the manager to whom it is directed shall execute the order or may charge any prison officer or member of the police force with the execution of the order; and
(b)
the prisoner shall, while the order is being executed, be kept in the custody of the manager, prison officer or member of the police force acting under or in execution of the order, who shall in due course return the prisoner to the custody from which he has been brought.
