25 Transfer of sentence with prisoner
Where pursuant to an order of transfer a prisoner is conveyed to a participating State or a Territory specified in the order, then from the time the prisoner arrives in the participating State or the Territory, every State sentence of imprisonment imposed upon the prisoner, including a translated sentence, ceases to have effect in South Australia except—
for the purpose of any appeal against or review of any conviction, judgment or sentence made, imposed or fixed by a court of South Australia;
or
in relation to any period of imprisonment served by the prisoner in
South Australia; or
in relation to the remittance of money to the Minister which is paid in discharge or partial discharge of a sentence of default imprisonment originally imposed upon the prisoner by a court of South
Australia.
Subsection (1) does not apply to a sentence of imprisonment that the person has completed serving.
