10 False or misleading disclosures
(1)
A person must not make a disclosure of public interest information knowing that it is false or misleading in a material particular (whether by reason of the inclusion or omission of a particular). Maximum penalty: Maximum penalty: $20 000 or imprisonment for 2 years.
(2)
A person who makes a disclosure of public interest information in contravention of subsection (1) is not protected by this
Act.
