24 Increments not payable in certain circumstances
If a prescribed employee—
(a)
resigns under regulation 39(2)(a); or
(b)
retires on or after the day on which the prescribed employee reaches the age of 55 years, and the effective date of resignation or retirement is 31 January in any year, the employee is not entitled to be paid an increment that would otherwise have been payable to the employee from 1 January of that year.
