23 Exemptions
The Minister may, by notice in the Gazette, grant exemptions from this Act or specified provisions of this Act—
to a person, or persons of a class, specified in the notice;
or
in relation to tattooing services, or tattooing services of a class, specified in the notice.
An exemption under subsection (1) may be granted by the Minister on conditions specified by the Minister.
The Minister may, at any time, by further notice in the
Gazette—
vary or revoke an exemption; or
vary or revoke a condition of an exemption, or impose a new condition, on any grounds the Minister thinks fit.
Before granting an exemption, or varying or revoking an exemption or condition of an exemption, the Minister must consult with the Commissioner for Consumer Affairs and the Commissioner of Police.
