16 Infection prevention, control and hygiene standards
The licensee of an NEPT Service must establish and maintain a management plan for infection prevention and control in respect of the Service – in accordance with the relevant infection control guidelines and best practice; and in compliance with each relevant direction by the Director of Public Health under the Public Health Act 1997.
The licensee of an NEPT Service must ensure that all NEPT vehicles used to provide non-emergency patient transport services as part of the Service – are kept in a clean and hygienic condition at all times in accordance with the infection control guidelines and best practice; and comply with – the infection prevention and control management plan established for the Service; and the infection control guidelines.
