18 Prohibition of victimisation
A person must not victimise another person because that other person – made, or intends to make, a complaint under this Act; or gave, or intends to give, evidence or information in connection with any proceedings under this Act; or alleged, or intends to allege, that any person has committed an act which would amount to a contravention of this Act; or refused or intends to refuse to do anything that would amount to a contravention of this Act; or has done anything in relation to any person under or by reference to this Act.
Victimisation takes place if a person subjects, or threatens to subject, another person or an associate of that other person to any detriment.
