The Tribunal at any stage of the inquiry into a complaint that has been referred to it may make an interim order pending the completion of the inquiry.
The Tribunal, on the application of the Commissioner, at any stage of the investigation, conciliation or other resolution of a complaint may make an interim order pending the completion of the investigation or conciliation.
An interim order may also be made on the application of the complainant or the respondent.
An interim order prohibits a person from doing an act that may prejudice – the investigation of the complaint; or the conciliation of the complaint; or any inquiry or any order the Tribunal may make on completion of an inquiry.
A person must not fail to comply with an interim order. Fine not exceeding 10 penalty units and a further fine not exceeding 5 penalty units for each day during which the offence continues.
