10 Power of arrest on contravention of condition of bail
Where a police officer has reasonable grounds to believe that a person – has contravened – a requirement of section 7(2); or the condition specified in section 7(3); or any condition of an order for bail that has effect after the release of that person from custody; or a requirement specified in written advice given to that person in accordance with section 7(3A); or is about to contravene any such requirement or condition – the police officer may arrest that person.
On the arrest of a person by a police officer under subsection (1), the bail of the arrested person is suspended.
Subsection (2) does not apply if the person arrested is later released unconditionally.
