7A Circumstances in which Supreme Court may grant bail order
An application for an order for bail may only be made to the Supreme Court in respect of a person if – the person is charged with either or both of the following crimes:murder; treason; or the person has been committed to the Supreme Court in respect of an offence and has appeared in that court in respect of the offence.
An application for an order for bail made to the Supreme Court under this section is to be made to a judge in chambers.
A person who has applied for bail in accordance with subsection (2) must serve a copy of the application on the Director of Public Prosecutions.
