Biosecurity Act 2019

A condition imposed on a permit may require the permit holder to take out a policy of insurance.

The condition may include – the form and type of insurance to be held; and the types of conduct or actions to be indemnified by the insurance; and the amount of insurance cover to be maintained; and the period for which the insurance is to be maintained, including that the insurance be maintained beyond the duration of the permit; and any other details and requirements that the relevant decision-maker thinks fit.
