Conveyancing Act 2004

The Governor may make regulations for the purposes of this Act.

Without limiting the generality of subsection (1), the regulations may – provide for the fee to be paid to the Director for the grant of a licence; and establish rules of conduct to be observed by conveyancers; and be made so as to apply differently according to matters, limitations or restrictions, whether as to time, circumstances or otherwise, specified in the regulations; and apply generally or be limited in their application by reference to specified exemptions or specified factors; and authorise any matter to be from time to time determined, applied or regulated by the Director; and provide for penalties not exceeding a fine of 100 penalty units for offences against the regulations.
