Dog property of council

In force

A dog becomes the property of the council if –

the owner does not reclaim the dog within 5 working days after notice has been given under section 35(2); or the dog is seized pursuant to an order under section 63; or the owner of the dog is not identifiable and the dog has been detained under this Act for at least 3 working days.
