55 Orders to secure compliance with directions
This section applies if it appears to an authorised officer that – a person has contravened section 54; and the contravention has caused or contributed to a dangerous situation at any premises or an explosives emergency at any facility.
The authorised officer may apply to the Supreme Court for an order that the person comply with the relevant direction under this Division.
If, consequent on the application, the Supreme Court is satisfied that the relevant contravention has occurred and that it has caused or contributed to a dangerous situation or explosives emergency at the relevant facility, the court may make any order it considers appropriate in the circumstances.
Nothing in this section is to be taken as preventing other proceedings or other actions from being taken in respect of the contravention.
