45 Powers of authorized national park officers
Notwithstanding anything in section 42, but subject to sections 43 and 44, where reserved land in the class of national park, State reserve, nature reserve or historic site under the Nature Conservation Act 2002 is within a fire protected area and a fire occurs in that reserved land, an authorized national parks officer who is present at the fire shall have supreme charge of the operation of extinguishing the fire.
For the purposes of subsection (1), authorized national parks officer means a person authorized by the Director of National Parks and Wildlife to exercise the powers of an authorized national parks officer under that subsection.
