40 Requirements relating to primary production
An applicant whose genuine reason for possessing or using a firearm is primary production must –
be a person who is regularly engaged – in the business of primary production on land owned, managed or leased by the person; or as an employee of such a person; and produce evidence to the Commissioner's satisfaction that he or she intends to use the firearm solely in connection with – the suppression of vertebrate pest animals on the land; and the destruction of animals to avoid pain and suffering.
