44 Requirements relating to firearms collection
An applicant whose genuine reason for possessing a firearm is firearms collection must – be a bona fide firearms collector; and be a member of an approved society, the members of which collect firearms of the category to which the application relates.
In determining whether a firearms collector is a bona fide collector for the purposes of subsection (1)(a), the Commissioner must be satisfied that the collection will be of significant commemorative, historical, thematic or investment value.
