Carrying out second forensic procedure

If a forensic procedure has been carried out on a person under this Act and a police officer believes on reasonable grounds that there is a need to repeat that procedure –

the carrying out of the first procedure does not preclude the carrying out of the repeat procedure; but the consent or order authorising the carrying out of the first procedure does not authorise the carrying out of the repeat procedure and the repeat procedure may only be carried out under the authority of a fresh consent or order obtained or made under this Act.
