5 Remuneration for unemployed persons
For sections 53 and 68(2)(a) of the Act, a relevant person who is not employed is entitled to be paid the following remuneration –
if the person is not empanelled for a jury – $25 for each day or part of a day the person attends for jury service; or if the person is empanelled for a jury – $25 for each part of a day, not exceeding half a day, the person attends for jury service; and for the first 3 days the person attends for jury service for longer than half a day – $40 for each day; and for each additional day the person attends for jury service for longer than half a day – $50 for each day.
