Duty of person authorising or arranging for unsolicited document

In force

A person who authorises or arranges for the distribution of an unsolicited document must ensure that the document is distributed in a way that prevents it from becoming litter. Fine not exceeding 20 penalty units.

It is a defence in proceedings for an offence under this section if the defendant establishes that the defendant took reasonable steps to comply with this section.
