57 Refusal to deal with or approve applications
The Minister must not accept any application – for a lease for an area which is not the subject of a marine farming development plan; or which is not in accordance with section 56.
The Minister, by notice in writing – must notify the applicant that the application is not accepted; and may advise the applicant to consult with the Secretary.
In consulting with the applicant, the Secretary must advise the applicant that – a draft marine farming development plan is being prepared or is to be prepared; or he or she may apply for the Minister's approval to prepare a draft marine farming development plan under section 16.
