58 Name under which property managers may carry on business
Subject to subsection (2), a property manager must not carry on property management business otherwise than under the name of the property manager or, where property managers are carrying on business in partnership, the names of the managers. Fine not exceeding 50 penalty units.
The Board may authorise a property manager or managers carrying on business in partnership to carry on property management business under a name in addition to, or in substitution for, the name of the manager or managers.
If subsection (2) applies, the Board is to include the authorised name in the entry in the Register in respect of the manager or managers.
Subsection (2) is subject to the Business Names Registration Act 2011 of the Commonwealth.
