59 Protection of assignors
This section applies if – a tenant gives a proposed assignee the information and documents referred to in section 57(3); and the information and documents do not include any information that is false, misleading or materially incomplete.
None of the following persons is liable to perform any obligations under a retail lease or to pay to a landlord any money in respect of amounts payable by a proposed assignee – the tenant; a guarantor or covenantor of the tenant.
