30 Appeal against decision granting or refusing discharge of parentage order
Any of the following persons may, under section 20 of the Magistrates Court (Children's Division) Act 1998,appeal to the Supreme Court against a decision under this Act granting, or refusing, an application for discharge of a parentage order, as if the person were a party to the proceedings under that Act:the child, if he or she is 18 years of age or more; the birth parents; the intended parents named in the parentage order as becoming parents of the child; the Attorney-General, if he or she made the application; another person served with the application.
An application under this section may only be made by a person within 30 days after the day on which notice of the decision appealed against was received by the person.
