18 Authorised meter adjuster
A person may apply to the Commission to be appointed as an authorised meter adjuster.
An application for appointment as an authorised meter adjuster is to be – in an approved form; and accompanied by the fee specified in Schedule 3.
The Commission may – appoint a person as an authorised meter adjuster; or refuse to appoint a person as an authorised meter adjuster.
If the Commission appoints a person under subregulation (3)(a), it may do so on the terms and conditions that the Commission thinks fit.
The Commission may vary or revoke any conditions of the appointment.
The Commission may suspend or cancel the appointment of a person as an authorised meter adjuster.
Before exercising its power under subregulation (5) or (6), the Commission is to – give the appointee notice in writing of its intention, the reasons for the variation, revocation suspension or cancellation and a reasonable opportunity to make representations thereon; and take any such representations into account in exercising its power under this regulation.
