99 Application for renewal of registration

An application for the renewal of the registration of a vehicle must – be made to the Registrar in an approved form; and contain the information required in the approved form; and be accompanied by any documents or other material required in the form; and be accompanied by the appropriate registration payment.

An application for the renewal of the registration of a vehicle may be made even though the registration has already expired.

An application for the renewal of the registration cannot be made if the registration expired more than 3 months before the date of the application or, in the case of seasonal registration, more than 12 months before the date of the application.

The Registrar may require the applicant to furnish evidence to the Registrar's satisfaction that the vehicle continues to be eligible for registration.
