9 Customer service code to specify notice of certain disconnections or restrictions
A customer service code must specify that a regulated entity must not disconnect or restrict (other than under sections 56K, 56L and 56M of the Act) a regulated service provided to a customer unless, where practicable, the regulated entity has given notice to the customer.
A customer service code must specify that a regulated entity must give notice to a customer if a regulated service provided to the customer is disconnected or restricted because the customer has failed to pay a debt due and payable to the regulated entity.
A customer service code must specify – the manner in which a notice, referred to in subregulations (1) and (2), is to be given; and the details to be included in a notice referred to in subregulations (1) and (2).
