17 Notice that standard tow truck licences available
On being authorised to issue one or more new standard tow truck licences, the Secretary may, by notice published in the Government Gazette—
specify the number of new licences that the Minister has authorised it to issue and, if relevant, the area in respect of which the licences may be issued; and
specify the procedures to be followed for the issuing of those licences; and
specify whether the fees to be paid for the licences are to be determined by tender or are a fixed price; and
if a fixed price is to be paid, specify the price that is to be paid; and
specify the details that must be included in an application for a licence; and
specify where, and by when, applications for a licence must be lodged; and
provide that all applications for licences, or all applications for licences to operate in a particular area, made before a specified time are to lapse.
