15 Functions of a Committee
An Order must provide for the functions of the Committee, which may include all or any of the following—
to promote domestic marketing of the relevant commodity;
to promote export marketing of the relevant commodity;
to carry out or fund research into the production, handling, processing, marketing or promotion of the relevant commodity;

to implement or fund pest and disease control measures for the protection of the relevant commodity;

to establish and manage funds to compensate producers for costs incurred in controlling or eradicating pests and diseases;
S. 15(1)(d) substituted by No. 76/2000 s. 10(1).
to establish and manage a general fund and project funds for the purposes of this Act;
S. 15(1)(e)(f) repealed by No. 76/2000 s. 10(1).
