14 Approval of a company
S. 14(1) substituted by No. 35/2004 s. 11(2).
The Board may approve a company for the purposes of this Act if satisfied that—
S. 14(1)(a) amended by No. 21/2015 s. 3(Sch. 1 item 5).
the constitution of the company provides that one of the purposes of the company is the practice of architecture; and
at least one director is an architect who is covered by the required insurance.
S. 14(2) amended by No. 72/2001 s. 3(Sch. 1 item 1.3), repealed by No. 35/2004 s. 11(3), new s. 14(2) inserted by No. 43/2024 s. 46.
The Board may refuse to approve a company for the purposes of this Act if it is not satisfied that the company is eligible to be so approved.
If an architectural company ceases to comply with the criteria in subsection (1), it must notify the Board within 14 days.
The Board may give any directions necessary to ensure that the company complies with subsection (1).
