10 Classes of registration
For the purposes of section 9(2)(b) of the Act, the following classes of registration of architects are prescribed—
practising architect;
non-practising architect.
A person may be registered as a practising architect if the person—
is eligible to be registered as an architect under section 10 of the Act; and
intends to carry out work as an architect; and
is covered by the required insurance; and
subject to subregulation (3), has paid the applicable registration fee prescribed in regulation 11(2) or (3)(b).
A person may be registered as a non‑practising architect if the person—
has been registered as a practising architect under section 11 of the Act; and
does not intend to carry out work as an architect; and
has informed the Board of that intention.
