4 Objects of bus safety
(1)
The objects of this Act are to promote—
(a)
the safety of bus services;
(b)
the effective management of safety risks in bus services;
(c)
continuous improvement in bus safety management;
(d)
public confidence in the safety of the transport of passengers by bus;
(e)
the involvement of relevant stakeholders in bus safety;
(f)
a safety culture among persons who participate in the provision of bus services.
(2)
The Parliament does not intend by Part 2 to create in any person any legal right or give rise to any civil cause of action.
