51 Accreditation exemption for operators

S. 51(1) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 1.34(a)).

(1)

An operator of a bus service may apply to Safe Transport Victoria for an exemption from a designated provision in respect of a specified bus service carried out, or proposed to be carried out, by or on behalf of the operator.

(2)

An application must be made in the manner and form approved by Safe Transport Victoria and must—

(a)

specify the scope and nature of the bus service in respect of which an exemption is sought; and

(b)

contain any prescribed information; and

(c)

be accompanied by the prescribed application fee (if any).

Safe Transport Victoria may require an operator who has applied for an exemption to—

S. 51(3)(a) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 1.34(a)).

(a)

supply further information requested by Safe Transport Victoria; and

S. 51(3)(b) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 1.34(a)).

(b)

verify by statutory declaration any information supplied to Safe Transport Victoria.
