54 Application for variation of an exemption

An operator of a bus service who has been granted an exemption under this Division may, at any time, apply to Safe Transport Victoria for a variation of the exemption.

An operator of a bus service who has been granted an exemption under this Division must apply to Safe Transport Victoria for a variation of the exemption if—
the operator proposes to vary the scope and nature of the bus service in respect of which the exemption has been granted; or
any other variation is proposed in respect of the bus service in respect of which the exemption has been granted that should be reflected in the exemption.

An application for variation must be made in the manner and form approved by Safe Transport Victoria and must—
specify the details of the variation being sought; and
contain any prescribed information; and
be accompanied by the prescribed application fee (if any).

Safe Transport Victoria may require an applicant for a variation—

to supply further information requested by Safe Transport Victoria; and
S. 54(4)(b) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 1.37(a)).
to verify by statutory declaration any information supplied to Safe Transport Victoria.
